A range of free activities are available at Forum Leisure this Easter for children eligible for free school meals in Wythenshawe, as part of the national Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.
Forum Leisure – managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Wythenshawe Trust – will offer free activities accompanied by free lunches.
Activities over the Easter holidays include swim pool play sessions and sports hall activities for young people aged between eight and 16 years – run by Everyone Active activity leaders.
The swimming sessions on offer will help children build confidence in the water and improve their swimming skills.
Sports hall activities include badminton, hockey, dodge ball, and obstacle courses, giving children an opportunity to take part in a variety of team-based games while boosting social interaction.
Each session includes a free nutritious and balanced lunchtime meal from Forum Flavours café before children attend the library for additional activities.
Everyone Active contract manager Phil Bowers said: “We’re always proud to be a part of the national HAF programme and enable children of all ages to keep active over the spring holiday season, no matter their financial circumstances.
“We encourage children and parents children from across Wythenshawe to join us for a brilliant programme of activities which are ideal to keep young people moving and socialising, all while having action-packed fun learning new sports.”
Swim pool play sessions take place on Monday 30 March and 6 April from 11am to 12pm.
Sports hall activities run on Wednesday 1 April and 8 April from 11am to 12pm.
