Want a skill? Can't attend classes? No problem...Learndirect can help.

At Forum Learndirect, you can study when you want, at a pace that suits you. The centre is open for Tutor support Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. Our friendly Tutors will make you feel welcome, offer advice, help and support throughout your course. Since our courses are online, you can study at home, at work or anywhere that has an internet connection.

If you choose to work in our learning centre, our Tutors will be there to provide expert help. If you're at home, you can call our online Tutors and the 24 hour technical support line. We will always be there to ensure your learning experience is useful and fun.

Our courses can be taken from entry level up to advanced level and a typical course can last between 1 and 40 hours.

So what can you learn?

English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)

Improve your listening, speaking and ability to read and write. The courses have help facilities in 22 languages. Work towards a qualification or the UK Citizenship test.

English Literacy

Improve your punctuation, spelling, reading or writing - you can even do some courses at home. You can work towards the GCSE equivalent certificate in Adult Literacy.

Numeracy

If numbers are a problem then we can help. Learn how to deal with everyday situations such as working out how much wallpaper and paint you need, or how to manage the household budget. You'll be surprised how easy it is - just call us.

Home and Office IT

We have many courses to offer if you want to use a computer. Beginners can learn how to switch on and use a mouse. If you're more confident you can learn to build a website and use a range of software.

Languages

Going on holiday and want to speak the local language? Try one of our easy to follow courses in French, German or Spanish.

Business and Management

We offer a wide range of skills to make you an effective manager or give you the skills needed to run your own business – from marketing and accounts, to time management and negotiating.

Get a qualification

With learndirect, qualifications are obtained with ease. Flexible learning leads to flexible online tests that give instant results! If you’re studying English or Maths, you can get a GCSE equivalent certificate in Numeracy and Literacy with LCCI or City & Guilds.

An ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) is a popular computer qualification offered by the British Computer Society that proves that you know how to use Microsoft® Office. CLAIT and CLAIT+ are similar ones offered by OCR.

Business and Management learners can obtain the Institute of Leadership and Management certificates in Team Leadership of First Line Management.

All courses in English and Maths are completely free to all learners. Most of the other courses are free to learners on benefits and are heavily subsidised for those in employment.
