Perfect Play at Forum Nursery
Children at Forum Nursery are enjoying their new and updated play areas. Newly installed equipment includes sand and soil pits, climbing and soft surface areas. The covered play area has been extended with a new larger canopy and for those children aged two and under, there is an extended and improved space.
The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Mark Hackett, officially opened the outdoor area on 13th July, during an open afternoon for nursery children and their families.
Brenda Jackson - nursery manager said, "We are excited to launch the new developments to the outdoor area. These support and extend the childrens' learning by enabling them to explore within a secure, safe, yet challenging outdoor space".
The outdoor improvements are part of a larger scheme to update the nursery including internal decor, furniture, fittings and resources - supported by 'Quality and Access' funding through Manchester City Council Early Years division. Forum Nursery would particularly like to thank Ann Anderson, Early Years Teacher at Surestart Woodhouse Park, for her support with the funding application, also the Wythenshawe Forum Trust.
